No one likes waiting.
I have yet to meet a single person who would willingly choose the longer line over the shorter one. I’ve never heard anyone gush about the pure joy of a stoplight lasting more than 120 seconds. 5G is great—but only when it works. Flying across the country somehow still takes all day. And honestly, why haven’t we figured out a way to get paid the moment we clock out instead of weeks later?
If you like waiting, you’re weird. Or you’ve just mastered this whole patience thing.
Then Jesus comes along and constantly tells us to wait.
But His kind of waiting isn’t passive. It’s not sitting there, fuming with frustration. It’s active—courageously trusting, patiently expecting, and fully believing that what’s coming is worth the wait.
Waiting with anticipation. Not annoyance.
So yeah, waiting still isn’t fun. But it can be holy. Because every delay is a reminder that God’s timing is better than mine—and when He finally moves, it’ll be worth every second.
That’s something worth waiting for.
